John Williams and Yo-Yo Ma's A Gathering of Friends, featuring the New York Philharmonic, Pablo Sáinz-Villegas, and Jessica Zhou, called for packaging that matched the warmth and intimacy of the music. I built the design around rich, warm photography, pairing it with a deep, moody palette and a classically modern typeface for the title and billing. The result carries across both the CD and a limited-edition 2LP gatefold pressed on warm red vinyl, exclusively for Barnes & Noble. Package photography by Lawrence Sumulong.
